We have a established a custom search page that uses Google.  When you use this search and click on the sponsored ads, the school receives a referral fee.  If you are using either the Firefox or Internet Explorer browser, you can install a search plugin.  This plugin will add the school's search page to the list of search engines at the top of your browser.

When you use this search engine, you will be sent to the Search Results pages of our website.  The search results shown on this page are from google and are the same results that would be returned if you searched directly in google.  The sponsored ads are the links in the Ad by Google box.  Clicking on these ads results in referral fees for the school.

It is a violation of our agreement with google to spam the search results.  In other words, use this search as you would use any google search, but do not click on the ads simply to attempt to generate income for the school.

To install the engine, do the following:

For Firefox

• When you are on any of the school's pages, in the top right hand corner of the browser, you will see the search engine selection arrow.  The arrow should have a bluish glow.
• Click the arrow to show the available search engines.
• At the bottom of the list, there will be an item that says Add "HVSS Search".
• Click the item.
• The custom search engine is now installed on your browser.
• By default, the new search engine should become the default search engine.  If, for some reason, it isn't the default search engine, you can make it your default by clicking on the Search Engine Selection Arrow again, and the clicking on the item labeled I Support HVSS.

For Internet Explorer

• When you are on any of the school's pages, in the top right corner of the browser, you will see the Search Engine Selection Arrow.  The arrow should be blue with an orange background.
• Click on the arrow to show the available search engines.
• You will see a line saying "Add Search Providers" with a small black arrow pointing to the right.  Click on this line.
• You will now see a line saying HVSS Search.  Click on this.
• A dialog box will appear asking if you want to install the search engine.
• Check the Make this my default search provide box and then click Add Provider.
