Product Description
Kingdom Hearts is the story of Sora, a 14-year-old boy whose world is shattered when a violent storm hits his island-paradise home, and he is separated from his two closest friends, Riku, a 15 year-old boy, and Kairi, a 14 year old girl. At the same time, there is turmoil in Disney castle. King Mickey is missing, and Court Wizard Donald and Captain Goofy set out to find him. On their travels they meet Sora on his own searc Review
Ever wondered what would happen if the worlds of Final Fantasy and Disney collided? It’s an odd concept to be sure, but from the most schizophrenic of acorns the mighty gaming oak of Kingdom Hearts has grown. Legendary role-playing game makers Square have been given unprecedented liberties with the entire Disney universe and have created a game featuring everything from The Nightmare Before Christmas to The Little Mermaid. This is odd enough in itself when you have characters as disparate as Tarzan and Donald Duck teaming up, but becomes majorly freaky when Square thrown in a variety of their own characters such as Cloud, Squall, and Aeris from the various Final Fantasy games. But this incongruity has one side benefit in that the storyline behind the game is by necessity rather vague, which seems to have stopped Square from filling three CDs full of their usual New Age whining about Mother Earth. Instead they’ve spent even more time on the graphics, and the end result is a quite stunning 3-D cartoon.

As for the gameplay, it may come as a surprise to learn that it doesn’t actually feature, as all the Final Fantasy games do, turn-based combat. Instead it's essentially a scrolling beat-'em-up-cum-platformer with exactly the kind of complicated Square-style knobs you’d expect. The game may be a little shallow, but it’s an impressive artistic achievement and to be quite frank any title that allows you to magically summon Bambi out of thin air to attack evil demons of the underworld has got to be worth some sort of recommendation. --David Jenkins

the review is the nextKH and some of the the old KH.
the second one was delayed because the sony people wanted auron to have some special moves together(i have the demo).if you think the first one was long and hard wait until the next game comee out it usally takes me about 45 mins to finish the hollow batoin level and the first level takes about 90 mintues! i mean it is hard as H**L. now lets talk about KH1
i do not have much to say except you can see a KH2 trailer if you do the following

beat the game in normal or expert with
getting all the dalmations
beating all the tournamentwith Donal and goofy
sealing all the keyholes including finnishing monstro and sealing winne the Pooh and colosem
(i wrote about KH2 because it wont let me write in the KH2 game review thing)

I have absolutely no regrets when I got this game for Christmas two years ago. Pros: Great graphics, soundtrack, and plot
Cons: At times, it is extremely frusterating and it took me a year or two to beat it. Also, some kids at my school thought it was stupid because you fight with a key.

5The best game ever made., May 7, 2023
This is really an awesome game! To all you people who think this game is for "quote" kiddies "unquote" I feel bad for you. Just because it has Disney in in it doesn't mean you have to be under ten to absolutely love this game! It is a pretty long game, and easy for new gamers to get in to, but still deviously hard(escpecially the bosses, like Ursala!!!), even for hardcore gamers. This was my first game for my PS2, I sort of wish it wasn't. Now whenever I get a new game, like FFX2, I am disapointed because it doesn't live up to Kingdom Hearts. I love the graphics, realtime fighting, and storyline. Sure, it is a little out there, but I really feel connected to Sora(okay, yeah, his IQ is his age, but he's still got a good heart) Kairi, Rikku, Donald, Goofy, and all the rest of them. Even if you absolutely despise Disney and RPG's, you will still love it. Great for FF fans. The game's all about Heartless and stuff...hey, I'd tell you more, but I don't want to ruin the game. All ages will love this game if they keep an open mind. Don't let the fact that it's rated E keep you away.
