Editorial Review Just about every child loves to dribble and shoot basketballs, but not every household with children has the right space for a court. This freestanding basketball hoop might be an ideal solution. Since the height of the hoop can be adjusted according to your child's height and skill level (the hoop goes as low as 42 inches and as high as 5 feet), this is a great investment for children as young as 3 years old. The large backboard (22 by 28 inches) helps keep the ball in play. You can make its heavy-plastic stand even more stable by filling the hollow base with sand or water. Wheels on the bottom make it especially portable. --Gail Hudson |

Not as thrilled as the other reviewers, Apr 14, 2023 Purchased one of these about three years ago. I had to throw it out recently since I couldn't remove the second post to increase the height. In addition, the net had pretty much disintegrated over time even though it was not sujected to heavy use nor much weather.
It did require a bit of force and a lot of soap to assemble in the beginning. But as hard as we tried recently, we couldn't remove the second post to adjust the height. Fun toy and the kids enjoyed it. Just disappointed that the net didn't last longer and we couldn't enjoy the adjustable height feature.

toy lover, Apr 6, 2023 i almost did not buy this toy because people in other reviews stated how much trouble they had putting it together. well i brought it anyway and i am so glad i did.. it took my son in law fifteen mintues to put it together even with a couple of mistakes. my ganddaughter loves it and i am sure it will grow with her and not be just a one year toy.

A Favorite in Our House..., Mar 20, 2023 Our 4 boys LOVE this basketball hoop. We got it two years ago and all of them play with it daily. I can't remember what the assembly was like-apparently it wasn't too horrific because nothing comes to mind. The fun your kids will get out of it is far worth any effort it takes to get it together. Definitely a must have!

Assembly Nightmare, Mar 4, 2023 I wonder if these are made in an inconsistent fashion, since so many people put it together easily. I had little difficulty with the pole, used the soap and some force. But the rim/backboard is another story. The plastic on the pole caved in (dented) causing the rim to fall out when you try to attach the backboard. The force required to put the backboard on was greater than the plastic could withstand. It's going back today. I'm not sure if I'll get another one or try another product.

Hard to assemble, Feb 16, 2023 Me and my wife spent more than an hour to assemble this for 3 ft. We had a tough time fitting in the pole. The manual says, apply candle or soap and then insert it in by pushing it in a circular motion. We tried both, it did not work. We were about to return this, but then tried pouring the softsoap at all corners and that worked. Next, fitting the basket rim to the pole was another challenge. Finally, somehow we managed to assemble it. Never imagined assembling a toy could be so exhaustive. I have never before struggled to assemble any item like this one. I rate it the worst of all.
My daughter was very excited when we opened the box and were trying to assemble. But then, she was tired of waiting when it was done and had no interest in it.
If you plan to buy it, do remember to place the pole in the hole, pour the soft soap (instead of just applying it with your hand) and push the pole, that should help you assemble it in a short time and with less effort. It is easy to fit the long pole.
